this afternoon, I received a call about an interview calling for an overseas part time job.

a step closer to reach my dream.
Hha, so happy gni. hhuy.
(ups, ga blh berlebihan ach, ntr something bad happens lgi. ga blh melebihi kehendak-Nya. - ciee, bahasa rany lumayan mutakhir gni euy!).

klo ntr lolos interview nii, I'll be about two or three months staying in foreign country. learning about language + culture, try to be a good employee and build a good networking there.
lumayan.. buat bekal masa dpn rany stlh lulus kuliah ntr.

a multimedia teaching aid: BLOG

Nowadays, many countries use blog as one of their teaching aids to support the learning and teaching processes. “A blog (a contraction of the term Web log) is a web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video” (www.wikipedia.com).

There are many ways of using and getting advantages from blog to support the learning and teaching processes. We can see the different method that is being used by one teacher to other, in different countries, in using blog as a part of their teaching process.

Carla from Brazil uses blog in order to encourage her students to express themselves more. She wants her students be able to share their feelings in any forms like poetry, short story, etc.. In using blog, Carla was ever going to invite a mystery guest to her class, and her students are asked to find out who she/he is through blog. Another way is by asking her student to do international exchange through blog. They are asked to talk about certain subject with students in another country. By using blog, students are expected to be able to communicate with other students in other country, learn each other’s life and interests. It is also can make students practice English more and get closer to each other. However, Carla said that developing students' creativity and imagination can be a challenge for the teachers. How to keep the interaction high and how to promote interaction in the blog can be real challenges for the teachers.

Rita, one of the teachers from Argentina, uses blog to help her students learn English in a faster and more comprehensive way. According to Rita, language is a tool to communicate with human being. Because of that, when we learn about a language, we have to use it as a tool for our communication. Blog is a tool for anybody to experience communication such as sending comments, sending messages and arranging meeting. By using blog, students can have a contact with students from other countries and do a project with partner and international students.

Teachers in Taiwan also use blog to practice teaching and learning English. The teacher recorded every group's presentation and the video recording can be uploaded online in class’ blog. Therefore, students are able to watch every performance and leave any comments on it. By watching their performances and get any comments, students can make a report of self evaluation and get a performance feedback.

In Indonesia, although blog has many advantages, this kind of teaching aids is not yet being used maximally in learning and teaching process. Lack of knowledge about blog and limited access to internet can be real challenges for our country. Beside that, students and teachers are also not accustomed to use blog.
